Police Reports— Week of April 24

Town of Lakeview Police

Wednesday, April 17 — Lakeview Police officials received a report of a theft in the 100 block of Lake Place.  The case is under investigation.

Saturday, April 20 — Lakeview Police arrested Gerald Wilkie for a probation violation.  Wilkie was lodged at the Lake County Jail.

Lake County Sheriff  Department

Sunday, April 7 — Members from Lake County Search and Rescue assisted the Lakeview Disaster Unit in transporting individuals stranded and in need of medical attention near Drews Gap.   Lake County Search and Rescue also worked to recover the stranded vehicle the next day.

Monday, April 8 — Members from Lake County Search and Rescue responded to a call for assistance from California/Oregon Search and Rescue to aid in the search for a skier missing on Mt. Ashland.  The individual was located during the search effort and found in good health.

Oregon State Police Report

Tuesday, April 16 — at 2:57 p.m. OSP recognized and stopped Eric A. Penaloza of Lakeview for suspicion of an outstanding warrant. A DMV and wants check confirmed an outstanding felony warrant for PCS-marijuana. Bail is set for $25,000. He was lodged in the Lake County Jail.

Monday, April 8 — at an undisclosed time, Allen R. Gillmore of North Bend lost control of his 2005 Jeep Liberty on the ice-covered road and overturned in the east side ditch. Major damage to the vehicle was reported. No injuries were reported. Deiter Towing towed the vehicle.
