Pool Challenge

In last week’s paper there was n article from the Class of 1957 challenging all former classes to see which class could raise the most money for the “Save Our Pool” fund. I think that was a great idea and I know the Class of “62” (my class) has accepted the challenge. Just for the record at this time the “Class of 62” has donations of $1,275. With checks coming in weekly.

To be fair I think the challenge should run through Labor  Day Weekend 2013. All money to be turned into the Mayor’s office no later that Sept. 4, 2013. The top class to be listed as such on the Honor Board when construction is completed.

I do not have a total for other classes because not all checks have the year graduated on the. If you’ve sent me a check let me know and I will tabulate by the class. I have many donations from $500 to $10 from former students and I would like to list them by class.

The class of“82” donated $2300 from the 2012 Alumni Golf Tournament. (I hear Mr. Pat Goehring of Prineville is looking for someone to sponsor this year’s tournament over Labor Day Weekend.)

Come on former LHS students. Accept this challenge. Help “Save Our Pool” send your checks to Town of Lakeview, write, Pool Fund with your class year listed on the bottom. We will tabulate all monies received and post a monthly account on the Town’s web site.

 Mayor Mike Patrick
