A large sum won’t slow down the efforts of the Save Our Pool campaign.
During the Town Council meeting of Tuesday, Feb. 26, Mayor Mike Patrick gave a summation of where the efforts stood to fix the 60-year-old pool to ensure it use for future generations.
“We’ve come up with a $375,000 budget,” he told the council.
After receiving a professional quote for the work that they expected to perform, Patrick said that they had found a very promising grant. For that purpose, they would need to raise $95,000 in match money to receive it.
In the singular Save Our Pool fund that was formed with the committee last year, there is currently $8,300 and they have a goal to reach $10,000 by June 30.
“I feel like we can expect to have that,” Patrick said.
