Ken Vanhoesen of Lakeview is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the recovery of several plumbing fixtures stolen from his utility trailer sometime between Thursday, June 6, and Friday, June 7.
A commercial water heater as well as two stainless steel sinks, both of which were dedicated to the new main branch Lake County Public Library building, as well as a four-foot fiberglass shower stall unit, were stolen from Vanhoesen’s trailer sometime between the hours of 6 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday.
The water heater, which is a 20-gallon, three-phase unit, is estimated in value at $2,355.44, while the sinks, described as top-of-the-line units, are estimated at $356.58 in value.
The shower stall unit, described as white with a seat, is valued at $289.
Vanhoesen said that he’s contacted area scrap metal recyclers with regard to possible attempted transactions by the perpetrator.
