Robert Leland “Bob” Mulder, 68 died at his home in Valley Falls on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013.
Bob was born to Joseph and Eunice (Hall) Mulder in Los Angeles, Calif. on July 10, 1945. He lived the early years of his life in Downey, Calif. before moving to Yucapia where he graduated from high school. He then moved to Big Bear where he met his dream girl, Alice Lloy Olson whom he married in Las Vegas on Feb. 14, 1972. She was always his special valentine, Lloy. They also lived in Redding, Bend and Prineville before moving to Valley Falls in 1999.
Bob was a multi-talented man. He was a certified plumber and solar panel installer. He had also built a number of homes. What he truly enjoyed was cutting fire wood, which he did since moving to Valley Falls.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was also a very hard working true outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and a brother.
He is survived by wife, Alice of Valley Falls; sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Julie Conger of Big Bear and Larry and Christina Conger of Philadelphia; daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Gary Bennett of Ervine, Calif. and Katrina Mulder and James Babb of Lakeview; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at the Desert Rose Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Jan. 4.
