Robert Mason Hogue

On this day, May 14, 1981 an Angel named Robert Mason Hogue was born. On July 29, 2012 this beautiful spirit left us.
While Robert was here he was busy creating memories for us so we could keep him in our hearts and minds forever. He did good, as our memories are truly countless. We all have our very personal memories, for some; the image of an absolutely brilliant smile! Behind that heart melting smile would come the most infectious laugh you’ve ever heard! Then those bright eyes which shined with a little mischief and a whole lot of love. Images of pure joy shooting right out his body when he reeled in a great catch or took home that big buck!
What a blessing being his friend, he taught us what it is to be “True Blue,” the one you could always count on. Such an awesome memory was watching Robert’s strength and character grow with his job he cared so much about at the Warner Creek Correctional Facility.
For a special few he has left unforgettable memories of being a precious son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin.
Robert’s greatest memory gift (also his greatest joy) was becoming a husband and father, bringing two wonderful children into our midst. Through those sweet faces our memories will continue.
Since he was a true outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending as much time as possible hunting, fishing and playing golf. When not in the great outdoors, he got quite a kick out of playing fantasy football.
Robert was preceded in death by grandfathers Jim Couden and Tom Barnhart.
Robert is survived by his wife Kristin; son Mason; daughter Kaitlin; parents Robert and Donna Hogue of Lakeview; sister Shannon Hogue of Medford; grandparents Carol and Andy Hogue of Lakeview; grandmother Diane Couden of Apple Valley, Calif.; many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins that he loved deeply.
We will miss you so Robert, we love you, we will NEVER forget you. Thank you for being a part of our lives however short it was and leaving us better people for knowing you.
A graveside service was held at the Westside Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 with Father Hopp officiating. Also assisting with the service were officials from the Oregon Department of Corrections along with the Oregon Department of Corrections Honor Guard.
Contributions may be made to Robert’s children’s college fund in care of US Bank acct. #153665353451.
Desert Rose Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
