Ryan Stevenson will perform in Lake County

Contemporary gospel singer Ryan Stevenson returns to Lake County for a pair of performance dates this week.

On Thursday, May 1, Stevenson will perform in Christmas Valley at the Christmas Valley Community Hall at 7 p.m.

The following night, he will perform a concert, also at 7 p.m., at the Faith Center church in Lakeview.

Stevenson’s most recent album, “Hold Nothing Back,” was released in September of last year and includes the latest single, “The Human Side.”

Stevenson, along with songwriters Toby McKeehan and Jamie Moore, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Song this year for TobyMac’s “Speak Life.”

Stevenson’s musical career commenced at age 18, when his youth pastor gave him a guitar.  From summer camps to mission trips to youth groups, Stevenson has since been performing worship music and formed an acoustic duo with fellow singer Paul Wright while attending Northwest Christian College in Eugene.

Stevenson eventually attracted the interest of Goytee Records, the label that ultimately signed him.

Stevenson also serves as the worship leader at Vertical Church in Boise, Idaho, and is married with two sons.
