As the season begins to wind down, the Warner Canyon Ski Area looks to celebrate with their annual Ski Fest.
To be held on Saturday, March 2 with some of the few inches of fresh snow there received, ski hill representative Barry Shullanberger said that there would be a number of activities for skiers and snowboarders young and old.
Beginning around midday, they will begin a kid’s fun race and then some relay games to involve other visitor to the hill.
As the sun slips behind the hill around 5 p.m., Shullanberger said they will then host a tri-tip dinner with all proceeds going to Warner Canyon. With a $12 price tag for adults and $5 for kids, hot dogs will also be an option for the children.
After the dinner, there will be a torchlight parade down the hill.
Admission for the Ski Fest will only cost the regular lift ticket prices.
Shullanberger said that it would not be very different from previous years. “It’s a way to celebrate the season and have some additional fun,” he said.
On Saturday, March 23, they will hold a canned food day, offering half priced lift tickets in exchange for non-perishables.
