Lakeview Soroptimist Club honored Kathy Miles with the Ruby Award at their weekly meeting at the Elks Lodge on Tuesday, March 11.
The Ruby Award, previously known as the Women Helping Women Award, is named after Ruby Lee Minar, the first Federation President of Soroptimist. It is an honor given to the woman who makes an extraordinary difference in the lives of other women through their inspiring efforts or otherwise had a significant impact on women in the community.
Miles was bestowed with a flower bouquet and vase representing the Ruby Award in front of the club while her vast accomplishments and positive influence on the community were read aloud.
