Greg Jones, Oregon state worthy president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE), will visit Lakeview Aug. 10, to attend the opening of the MC Chuckwagon Museum and to host a fundraiser for the Tooth Taxi, a visiting dental van that provides full spectrum dental care to students in schools with a high population of low income students.
Jones is from Lincoln City. He will lead the Oregon Eagles through June 2014. He is carrying on the Eagles tradition People Helping People by focusing statewide attention on a private organization providing needed services.
The Eagles Lodge is proud to invite all members and guests to join Greg at 5 p.m. Saturday to enjoy a buffet of desserts. Greg will provide information about the Tooth Taxi and will have a vast array of raffle items and items for sale. All proceeds go to the Tooth Taxi.
Since the Tooth Taxi launched in late fall 2008 [it has] visited over 218 schools/sites all over the State of Oregon, (mostly in the Portland area])and served over 13,400 children.
Lakeview Eagles hope to be instrumental in getting the Tooth Taxi to southern and eastern Oregon to expand the service that provides immediate relief of dental pain and infection for thousands of children who lack access to basic dental care.
Over $3 million of donated dental service is delivered to Oregon children through the Tooth Taxi.
