Steve Ford Dunnington 

Steve Ford Dunnington, 68,  died peacefully at his home in Lakeview on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012.
He was born to Robert and Jean (Parker) Dunnington in San Jose, Calif. on Sept. 20, 1943.
Steve grew up in Morgan Hill, Calif. where he graduated from high school in 1961. He enlisted into the U. S. Army on Jan. 29, 1962 and served honorably until Jan. 18, 1965 when he was released from active duty. After his military service, he lived in Los Angeles, Calif. for a while before moving to New Mexico where he worked in underground mining. After deciding mining wasn’t what he wanted to pursue as a career, he moved to Texas where he began his long career as a commercial carpenter.
He retired to Lakeview in 1998, where on Dec. 8, 2008 he married the love of his life, Karen Clark.
Steve was a real animal lover, especially his cats. His hobbies included reading and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jean.
He is survived by wife Karen of Lakeview; father Robert Dunnington of Fort Bidwell, Calif.; daughter Rebecca Pallares of Selma, Calif.; brothers and sisters-in-law Danny and Sherry Dunnington of Miramonte, Calif. and David and Robin Dunnington of Council, Idaho; sister and brother-in-law Becky and Randy Hall of Cedarville, Calif.; granddaughter Alison Woodbury of Mt. Erie, N.C.; large extended family.
A memorial service will be held in Fort Bidwell, Calif. at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Fort Bidwell Cemetery.
