Rock collecting, rock music, and a rockin’ good time will be had on Saturday, July 12, at the first annual Sunstone Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Hosted by Oregon Outback Mining, the festival will be held at Egan County Park, featuring an assortment of activities, food, and fun. Live music will be performed by Rusty Rayles and the Rounders, while an all-you-can-eat spaghetti feed will take place nearby at the Hart Mountain Store and multiple food vendors will be on site. Silent auctions, a John Wayne look-a-like contest and field trips to the sunstone collecting area will be held. Master rock hounds and jewelry makers will be available, selling their goods and sharing expertise in the joys of rock collecting.
Egan County Park is located at the intersection of Plush Cutoff Road and Hogback Road in Plush.
