Susan (Sue) Patricia Vandenberg Lynch

Susan (Sue) Patricia Vandenberg Lynch, 76, died on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at her home in Lakeview.
She was born Nov. 27, 1934 in Klamath Falls.  Sue was the fourth child of Judge David Raymond Vandenberg and Veronica (Bonnie) McCawley Vandenberg.
Sue graduated from Klamath Falls Sacred Heart Academy in 1952 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Sociology from Marylhurst University in Marylhurst in 1956.  Sue was an accomplished pianist who played for many weddings, funerals and special events statewide, over the years.  She also taught piano and accompanied countless students in Lakeview.
Sue’s hobbies were music, children and her pets.
Sue married Phil Lynch, son of Con and Mary Barry Lynch on Oct. 6, 1956 in Klamath Falls.  Sue and Phil moved to Plush and later, Lakeview.  They had four children – Con Lynch, Lori Miller, Lesa Cahill and Lezlie O’Sullivan.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband Phil Lynch; father David R. Vandenberg, Sr.; mother Bonnie Vandenberg; brothers David R. Vandenberg, Jr. and John Vandenberg; sisters Judith Vandenberg, Cecile Vandenberg and Mary Vandenberg Neitling; infant granddaughter Davia Marie Ackerman.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Con and Cindy Lynch of Salem; daughters and sons-in-law Lori and Allen Miller of Toledo, Lesa and Hugh Cahill of Lakeview and Lezlie and Jerry O’Sullivan of Burns. She has 11 living grandchildren, Bryn, Caitlin and Conor Lynch, SPC Knight Allen, Laura, Mary and Hanna Miller, James and Jackie Cahill, Rossy and Raime O’Sullivan. Great-grandchild Con Lynch-Gilmore.
A Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held on Monday, March 7, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 7 p.m. in Lakeview.  Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lakeview with burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
