Tamra “Tammy” Betty Blasingame

Tamra “Tammy” Betty Blasingame, 45,died as the result of a vehicle accident on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012.
Tammy was born to James and Lucille (Thompson Denton) Cormie on Oct. 8, 1966 in Klamath Falls.
Tammy grew up in Silver Lake where she attended grade school. She served as the Silver Lake Rodeo Queen in 1981 and graduated from Paisley High School in 1984. She then moved to Lakeview, where she lived with her second family, Annie, Tonya, Rena and Diane Clayborne for about 6 years. She later attended O.I.T. for a short time.
Her work experience was quite varied. She had been a bartender, service station attendant, waitress, motel maid, veterinarian assistant for Dr. Barry, North Lake School District teacher’s aide for the handicapped and a mill worker at Woodgrain Millworks. Her favorite position was that of housewife.
Tammy and Bob Blasingame were married in Reno, Nev. on Oct. 1, 2011. They made their home in Alkali Lake.
She was a long-time member of the Lakeview Eagle’s Lodge. Her favorite past times were gardening and hunting. Since they both drew tags, she and Bob were looking forward to hunting deer together this fall.
Tammy will be remembered as a loving, caring, free spirited individual.
She is survived by husband Bob Blasingame of Alkali Lake; father Jim Cormie of Lakeview; mother Lucille Denton of Lakeview; sons McKinsie, Taylor and Tanner; brothers James Cormie of Spring Creek, Nev., Buck Emery of Texas, Bob Hamilton of Klamath Falls and Dan Hamilton of Sacramento, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Amber Cormie of Snohomish, Wash.; sisters Val Emery of Winnemucca, Nev., Jo Emery of Paisley, Tara Grassman and Monica; a large extended family that includes special nieces Cheyenne Morgan and Bella Cowdrey.
A memorial service was held at the Eagle’s Lodge on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 with burial in the Silver Lake Cemetery on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Desert Rose Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
