Vivian Helen Lees, 72, died at the J & J Adult Foster Home in Lakeview on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012.
She was born to Ross and Frances (Sufcik) Foster in Lakeview on July 8, 1940.
Vivian grew up in Lakeview where she completed her education at Lakeview High School. For a number of years, she lived on the Westside, where she helped run the family sheep ranch.
She truly had a heart for others and thoroughly enjoyed her position of caregiver.
Vivian was a stock car racing fanatic along with following her son’s sports career. Because of son Marty’s position as assistant baseball coach at Oregon State University, she became a huge fan of Oregon State baseball.
Vivian is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Kristy Lees of Stillwater, Okla.; daughter, Shawn Johnson of LaGrande; brother, Marty Foster of Wagon Tire; granddaughter, Mesa Johnson; grandsons, Brandon, Brady and Jake Lees and great-granddaughter Madelyn.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, Nov.27, 2012 at Desert Rose Funeral Chapel with burial in Sunset Park Cemetery.
