Wally Race’s time trials will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday and will last until noon. This is where racers will get their average speed time so that staggered races can begin later in the day. There will be three classes: Super Pro, Pro and Sportsman. The winners of each class will race each other.
The winner of the Wally Race will be presented with a trophy molded to look like Wally Parks, founder of the National Hot Rod Association.
Desert Cruisers member’s registration fee is $25 for car and driver. Non-members will be charged $35 for car and driver. For high school racers there is no admission fee. Spectators are expected to pay $4 for admission or $20 per family.
