Willard “Mac” MacGregor

Willard “Mac” MacGregor passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 surrounded by his family and dear friends.
Mac was born in LaGrande, served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict stationed at “Tin City” Alaska. He retired from Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office in June of 1990 after 31 years of distinguished service. Many who knew Mac have said he had a profound impact on their lives.
Mac was larger than life and his loss will be felt deeply. We know he is now in Heaven with our Lord and Savior telling stories and watching over us from the “best view” in the house.
Mac is survived by his loving wife Joanne (Dubose) of Lakeview; sons and daughters-in-law Daniel and Barbara MacGregor and Bruce and Micki MacGregor; daughters and sons-in-law Stanlyn and Loren Nelson and Dana and Chuck Mooney; 12 grandchildren; five great -grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Community Church, 11731 SE Stevens Rd. Internment following services will be at Willamette National Cemetery with a reception following at the M & M restaurant in Gresham.
In Lieu of flowers, Mac’s family requests that donations be sent to Shriner’s Children Hospital or Make a Wish foundation.
