With September only a month away, the time is fast approaching when the Christmas Committee will begin meeting again to discuss plans for the Christmas celebration events that occur throughout the month of December.
Now is the time to buy wreaths that will be hung upon the street lamps along Main Street, as the number of wreaths is limited.
Each wreath costs $250, which includes a plaque on the lamppost containing the sponsor’s choice of three to four lines of text, usually the sponsor’s name, family member names, or organizations involved with the sponsorship.
Placing wreaths on the lamps has been a holiday tradition since it was started in 2001.
If you are interested in purchasing a wreath, would like more information, or have an idea for a Christmas event, please contact Mayor Mike Patrick at 541-621-7826 or Kathy Duggan at 541-417-1949.
Anyone who has not yet paid for a wreath from last year needs to drop his or her payment by the town hall, located at 525 N. 1st St.
