Youth mentor set to host Cinco de Mayo Taco Feed

Lake County Youth Mentor Program will host their second annual Cinco de Mayo Taco Feed on Monday, May 5 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lakeview Elks Lodge.

Featuring a silent auction, bucket raffle and plenty of authentic Mexican food with tacos, rice, beans and a dessert, the funds raised from the festive affair will go towards the Lake County Youth Mentor Program.

Auction items include numerous ticket and vacation packages, electronics, jewelry, toys, clothing, gift certificates and even a hot air balloon ride. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event.

Pre-sale tickets are available through May 4, on sale at Howard’s Drugs, the 39er, True Value and Les Schwab Tires, with family pack discounts of four tickets available for $30. Adult tickets are $10, kids ages 4-12 are $8, and children under 3 years old are free to attend.

Ultimate hero sponsors for the event include CenturyLink, US Bank, Alamos Gold Inc. and Ousley Osterman Hufstutter Funeral Chapter. Superhero sponsors are KORV, Desert Rose Funeral Chapel, Howard’s Drugs and Pacific Pine.
